Barbour State Park is nearby, and a flock of rare bald eagles migrate through the community several months during the year. Idaho Creek is conveniently located five miles east of downtown Longmont with easy access to Boulder, Denver, Fort Collins and Denver International Airport via the new E-470 interchange.
